How does the solar actually work?
Every Luxent piece has an integrated photovoltaic panel and a lithium-ion battery. The panel charges the battery during the day. A dusk-sensor turns the lights on at sunset and off at sunrise. You don't plug them in. You don't change batteries. You set them up once.
How long do the lights stay on at night?
6 to 10 hours on a full day's sun, depending on the model. The Flicker and Crackle run all the way to sunrise in summer. Winter and overcast days give you shorter runtime — typically 4 to 6 hours.
Will they survive winter?
Yes. Every Luxent product is weatherproof and designed to be left outside year-round. Most customers leave them in place from May to October and bring them in for snow only if they want to.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days, with estimated delivery of 7–14 business days after that. You'll receive a tracking email once your order ships. Free shipping on orders over $59.
How bright are these compared to a floodlight?
Not very, by design. Luxent products are ambient and accent lighting — they make a patio feel warm and intentional, not lit like a parking lot. If you need a security-grade floodlight, our products aren't that. If you want the kind of light that makes guests stay later, they are.
What's the return policy?
We offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy, contact us within 60 days of delivery and we'll work with you to find a solution. Items should be returned in original packaging and reasonably good condition. See our full return policy for details.
Do I need an electrician?
No. Every product is solar-charged and battery-powered. No outlets. No wires. Most customers install a full bundle in under an hour with only a small Phillips screwdriver for the wall-mounted pieces.
